taouk (Arabic: شيش طاووق, Hebrew: קבב עוף, Turkish: Şiş tavuk
or Tavuk şiş, Azerbaijan: Toyuq kababı) is a traditional chicken kebab shish
that is eliminated from Middle Eastern cuisine. The dishes are usually eaten in
Turkey, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Palestine Territory,
and Israel. A similar dish in Persian cuisine is a traditional jujeh kabab. The
dish is also served in kebab houses in several cities around the world.
