Danbo is
a cheese from a Danish country that has similarities to Samso cheese and is
produced using cow's milk. Danbo cheese is an aromatic cheese with a pale,
elastic inside. This cheese has several small peanut sized holes. Danbo cheese
has a skin coated with a red or orange night substance.
The flavor of the cheese is
sweet and like peanuts. This cheese is made also by adding cumin seeds.
Generally this cheese has a rectangular shape but some manufacturers have that
make it in a shape like a wheel.
One brand of Danbo cheese is
"Klovborg". Other cheeses similar to Danbo cheese are Fynbo, Elbo,
Svenbo, and Molbo. Danobo cheese is also known as "King Christian"
(King Christian "or Christian IX in the United States.
