Torantang is
a kind of soup (tang) made from taro tuber (toran; Colocasia esculenta).
Torantang is beneficial for health because it can smoothen the digestive
function, therefore Seoul and Gyeonggi residents present it at Chuseok holiday,
where many people eat other dishes in large portions.
