Tomato
(Solanum lycopersicum syn Lycopersicum esculentum) is a plant of the Solanaceae
family, native to Central and South America, from Mexico to Peru. Tomatoes are
short life cycle plants, can grow as high as 1 to 3 meters.
This plant has green,
yellow, and red berries that are commonly used as a vegetable in cooking or
eaten directly without being processed. Tomatoes have stems and leaves that can
