Sundae
(Korean
pronunciation: [sʰundɛ], also romanised in anglicism as soondae) is a Korean
dish commonly made by boiling or steaming cattle or pork intestines filled with
various ingredients. This dish is a type of blood sausage and is believed to
have been eaten for a long time. Recipes associated with the sundae can be
found in Joseon's published 19th century cookbooks such as "Gyuhap
chongseo" and "Siuijeonseo".
