Scabies is
a skin disease caused by mite (mite) Sarcoptes scabiei which is characterized
by the presence of scab, baldness, and irritation on the skin
Sarcoptes scabiei is a mite
with almost rounded, 8-foot short, medium-sized (300-600 μ) x (250-400 μ)
features in females, and (200- 240 μ) x (150-200 μ) at males, usually living in
the epidermal layer. The dorsal surface of the mite is covered by creases and
grooves especially the transverse form so as to produce a number of small
triangular scales. In addition, in females there are whip feathers in the 3rd
and 4th legs whereas in males, whip hair is found only in the 3rd leg pair
