ristretto - www.healthnote25.com |
Ristretto is a coffee drink
similar to espresso but uses less water. The name ristretto comes from Italian
which means "limited" or "forbidden". This coffee gets its
name because the volume of water coming out of the coffee grinding machine is
limited but the time spent should be the same as the espresso.
This causes ristretto
coffee to be more concentrated than espresso. The volume of coffee produced in
the manufacture of ristretto is as much as 0.5 to 0.75 ounces within 25
seconds. Although the time used to make ristretto is the same as espresso but
the volume of coffee produced for ristretto is only half of the espresso
volume.
