"sandwich". And panini usually uses baked whole bread instead of

Types of bread commonly used
to make panini include baguette, ciabatta, rosetta, and michetta. The bread is then
cut horizontally and is usually filled with sliced processed meats such as
salami, mortadella or prosciutto along with cheese, tomato and tuna slices. And
panini usually served warm after baking using a special press machine called
panini press.
