Namul is a Korean food made from vegetables such as soybean sprouts, mountain vegetables such as young nails (Pteridium aquilinum), and wild plants. Vegetable boiled only briefly before stirring with spices and sesame oil.


These foods are mentioned in various names depending on the type of vegetables used, but they are all called names. Spices can be salt, soy sauce, or gochujang. In addition to boiled briefly, vegetables can also be pan-fried or steamed. Vegetables used as a way to preserve vegetables, and stored in the refrigerator as a side dish ready to eat.


Namul including banchan dishes and eaten as a side dish. Different types of names can be served on one occasion. Namul (kongnamul) is also placed on the bibimbap.
