Injeolmi is
a kind of rice cake (tteok) made from glutinous rice flour dough which is
pounded until chewy. Once pounded, cut into small pieces and sown peanut and
soybean flour. To produce injeolmi with proper taste and elasticity requires
extra energy to pound the dough.
Once pounded properly, resulting in a soft, supple and sticky injeolmi in the mouth. Injeolmi is usually served on special occasions like the first birthday (doljanchi), but can now be made and eaten anytime.
