Garaetteok is one of the variations of tteok or
Korean rice cake, formed into long white cylinder shape. This food is made by
using steamed rice powder, mostly made of non-sticky rice. This material is
used in various Korean dishes such as spicy tteokbokki and tteok sanjeok
puncture. A thinly sliced garaetteok used to make tteok guk, a traditional dish
to eat on New Year's.
