food poisoning - www.healhtnote25.com |
Food
poisoning is a disease that results from the use of contaminated
food, bacterial pathogens, viruses, or parasites that contaminate food, as well
as natural chemicals or toxins such as fungi.
The onset of symptoms and
severity depends on the time that the infection is needed to multiply and hold.
This time is called the incubation period. There are over 250 food-related
diseases.
CDC estimates that 68% of
cases of food poisoning caused by organisms are undetected or unknown. This is
because most cases resolve on their own and do not require hospitalization. The
cause is mainly two infectious organisms and toxins. Food poisoning can be
classified according to severity and outset.
