Biogerontology is
a discipline of science that studies the biological processes that occur in the
aging process. The focus of the biogerontology study is the physical changes
(physical) experienced by the elderly according to their biological
development.
Physical or biological
characteristics show the functioning of one's body. In the life cycle or life
stage changes in physical function must occur as the age increases; at a young
age stage the body functions well developed so that until adult stage; entering
adulthood, one experiences the culmination of all its biological functions;
while in the final stage, old age, the function of the organs of the body will
experience a decline. Biogerontology attempts to map these changes and learn
why they occur according to the laws of biology.
