Bandotan
(Ageratum
conyzoides) is a kind of agricultural weed of Asteraceae tribe members. Terna
this season comes from tropical America, especially Brazil, but has long
entered and spread in the archipelago. Also referred to as babandotan or
babadotan (Sd.); wedusan (Jw.); dus-penyusan (Md.); grass balam (Ptk.); and
Billygoat-weed, Goatweed, Chick weed, or Whiteweed in English, this plant gets
its name because the smell it emits resembles the smell of goats.
