In his "Odyssey", Homer explains how to make this cheese. The same recipes and making methods are still used to make Feta cheese. This cheese has no skin and has a solid consistency. Feta has a white colour and is stored in saltwater or whey. Feta cheese usually feels very salty because of the salt that much. To remove the saltiness of Feta cheese, the cheese is soaked in cold water or milk for a few minutes.
